is more use than my doctor.

I have been trying since before Christmas to get a referal to get my gastric problems sorted. I have just written to him again to ask him to do me one but now I don't care if he does it or not because my nice consultat at he hospital arranged for me to have an endoscopy and tcolonoscopy.

My hosptal team have ruled out cancer (they did at least look there) and an ulcer but as far as my GP is oncerened I may as well die for all he does for me

Caroline pleased your getting a referral x

Can't you just change your flippin GP Caroline?

I am going to change my GP as he is a useless w!"£$r and has this afternoon told me the diabetic clinic at the hospital is responsible for any referals I need...

Good luck with the change.

That sounds like the best move Caroline. Though I am sorry you need to do so.

Ruddy Nora I thought my gp and care was bad.
Good the consulant got you the referral and seen what was what.
I'd be inclined to write to the health board or whom ever is in charge complaining about him and his care of you.

I had a difference of opinion with someone who was giving advice on another forum The other person was telling everyone who had their medication reduced that they should tell their doctor they do not want it reduced and the doctor MUST increase the dose again. I disagreed saying that as doctors do not have to give you medication you ask for if you ask for the medication not to be reduced when they think it should, they are not obliged to do as you ask. My GP surgery could not answer this query so I went to the CCG for a definite answer. They did not give it. All I needed was a yes the doctor is obliged to increase it again or no a doctor is not obligated to increase it. All they could say is that the doctor has your best interests in mind and it should be taken up with the doctor. Same when a certain organisation complained to Jeremy Hunt about a certain matter, concerning doctors. Told to go to our doctors who have our best interest in mind. So the government thinks this, the CCG thinks this, the NHS thinks this - and nobody is listening to the patients like Caroline whose doctor definitely does not seem to have her best interests in mind at all.
