Hi

Woke up this morning feeling okay, but when I tested my BS it was 3.2. Last night before bed it was 10.6 and for some unknown reason it dropped quite a bit.
I have had BS problems this year and the DSN at the hospital put me on the Aviva AcuChek meter and I am to stay in the range between 6 to10 to stabilise me (it was 6 to 12) because of eractic BS and loss of hypo awareness in the 3 range. My meter has been programmed by DSN.
Last night I felt very unwell again with gripeing, gripping upper abdominal pain and I felt pretty bad too. Had pain again this morning and felt sick in the town, but its not too bad now.
I feel as though something else is going on in my stomach, but its vague. Probably still inflamation, even though I am still taking Omeprazole. Also had another hypo at lunchtime 3.1:(
I bought more Coeliac products and ingredients today in Sainsburys, Cornflakes, Rice crispbreads are just a couple of the products.
Found a recipe for GF dumplings, which I will be making tomorrow, to go with the chicken casserole, so I'm looking forward to that🙂
With best wishes
ps yesterdays BS 9.3, 5.7, 8.7 then bedtime 10.6.

Hi Sheena,
sorry to hear of all your problems, hope they improve soon.
Are you sure your pain and sickness isn't anything to do with the Omeprazole?
I asked because the symptons you quote are the same as mine and it was a reaction to Omeprazole causing them.

Hi Sheena sorry to hear that you are having such a difficult time. I hope your BS are ok tonight. Well done on stocking up with the gluten free food x

Sorry to hear you're having problems Sheena :( I was on omeprazole but it didn't seem to make any difference to me - I felt just as sick on it as I did off, so I stopped taking it (with GP's consent).

I hope you have a much better night tonight and that your new regime will help ease your stomach problems 🙂

Thanks Sue, Amanda and Northerner 🙂

Sue, about Omeprazole, 2 weeks before the last endoscopy I couldn't take it, that was on October 18. I started them again the next day and I haven't had any big problems, but just recently my stomach hurts so much, like it is now ( days ago) so I really dont know if it is the gastric resistant tablet or could it be a milk intolerence? I may have to go back to see my GP about it. I did enjoy my Chilli dinner tonight, but I'm paying for it now,OUCH.

Best wishes CW
