ANDREW Lansley’s health reforms are costing the NHS millions of pounds in extra management and consultancy fees.

Figures obtained by the Daily Mirror show a health service watchdog has spent over ?7million in 12 months on management consultants, *temporary staff and legal fees.

The lavish spending comes as other parts of the NHS are forced to ration services and cut posts because of the cash squeeze.

More than 4,000 nursing posts have been lost, waiting times for some operations have risen and dozens of maternity units face closure.
