Has anyone got or read the book by "ICTM" called 7 steps to health available on line claiming a complete reversal of type 2 diabetes

Hi Colin, welcome to the forum 🙂 No, haven't read the book and wouldn't spend money on anything claiming a 'complete reversal of Type 2'. Many people are able to manage their blood glucose levels by adjustments to their diet and activity level, but they will still have diabetes, which would be shown fairly quickly if they returned to an unsuitable diet and lifestyle. Some people will never manage to control their blood glucose levels without medication whatever they do, because Type 2 is not a single, simple condition, but a whole spectrum that can have a similarly large number of causes and consequences. The problem with these kinds of claims is that those who cannot succeed (whatever they may do) are then made to feel as though it is some sort of personal failure - that they could do it if they really tried, which simply isn't true.

We've moved on haven't we? When the internet first became available - shedloads of places and people (none of whom you'd ever heard of, naturally!) told us that T2 could be sorted by merely ingesting cinnamon.

Ergo one would have thought that anyone who had eaten plenty of fruitcake, mincemeat and Xmas pudding in the past and currently - would never get it wouldn't you?

They do! It is tempting to think that sometime it will be curable but they've also been telling us at least since 1972 that there should be a cure within 10 years (always 10 years!) - In 10 years from now I'll be 76 and really - will I even care? LOL
