7 months later I have my licence back

Amazed to find my driving licence has been renewed after a 7 month wait.
Sent in last October and I see on line it has now been renewed as the licence ran out on the 19th of December I am more than confused to see it has been renewed from yesterday for 3 years. Obviously I have been driving under rule 88 since December so thought the licence would date from then.

Never mind at least I have my licence back.

No idea how long it takes to send the actual licence but hey it's on line so must be legal.
LMAO suspect there will be more strikes and excuses during the next 3 years.

I’ve just filled in my 3yr renewal that I recently received (mine runs out in June)
im hopefully moving sometime soon, so will see if mine comes back ready to update the address when I finally move.

I completed my application online and received the renewal less than a week later
I was lucky I had non"special considerations" but it seems like the online applications are speeding through.
