A STUDY investigating diabetes and kidney disease in Aboriginal children and their mothers has won coveted federal funding in the latest round of health and medical research grants awarded yesterday.
Heavy lobbying from academics and researchers earlier in the year followed indications the government would cut the size of the grants. But the purse was higher than expected - a total of $673 million.
