I hate diabetes for so many reasons. Perhaps the main reason is the damage it is doing to my eyes over time.
Here's hoping diabetes is erradicated world-wide!

Welcome @Woolfold 🙂 Yes, a world without diabetes would be great. I’m sorry to hear it’s affected your eyes. I hope that’s under control.

Welcome to the forum @Woolfold

Sorry to hear about the problems you are having with your eyes :(

Have these changes been picked up through regular screening? And are things at the stage where you need treatment (eg laser surgery) or are you concentrating on reducing progression at the moment?

I am just planning on reducing progression, behaving myself, doing what I should!

Hi and welcome.

Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your eyes. It sounds like you have been diagnosed a while and I wonder if you have current information regarding what you need to do to manage things better. Sadly the NHS dietary advice has been woefully inadequate with regard to diabetes, so hoping that you have more up to date info on that. We would be very happy to help you if you need any suggestions with dietary changes.

Are you on any medication for your diabetes and if so which ones? Some medications can clash with some dietary changes so it is important to understand how the medication works when you are making lifestyle changes... Again we can perhaps help you with understanding that.

Fingers crossed with some adjustments you can prevent any further progression and perhaps even see some improvement in your sight. What issues are you having with it?
