Just had a reminder pop up that it was 5 years ago this month that I switched over from being a forum volunteer mod to being a staff member at DUK as half of the admin role (@Northerner ’s shoes were too enormous for one person to fill them).

How time flies! And how lovely to have continued to see so much support shared so generously, and so many people’s experiences of living with diabetes completely transformed by connecting to others facing the same struggles, disasters, and victories each day.

Thanks to all of you for making this place the welcoming, supportive, and friendly place it is.

And especially to the amazing volunteer mods and hosts, @Anna DUK @Ieva DUK Josh Hannah Cherrelle and others at DUK who work to keep the forum running so smoothly.

And many thanks to you Mike and all the team for ensuring the forum endures. as in my opinion, it is a world class resource.

Thanks to you @everydayupsanddowns,your team and all those the members that create such a safe space to seek and provide support. An excellent resource for us all.

How time flies Mike. You're amazing to work with and thank you for everything you do to keep the forum running as smoothly as possible. Happy 5 year anniversary. Here's to the next 5!:star:<3

Yes, time does fly. My Whipples is racing towards it's 5 yr anniversary and I am so grateful that I found this forum when I did (1 Nov '20). So very much a big thank you from me for the calm, knowledgeable and pleasing "reasonability" that you bring to this great resource.

Five years! Wow! Congratulations Then we had Covid. You were definitely thrown into the deep end Mike.

Doesn't time fly when you're enjoying yourself! OTOH it either flies or drags depending on whether I'm enjoying myself at that moment or not and that's just got more noticeable as I have birthdays.

Thank you for the support you have given me, nice to know there's someone there at difficult times

I could not have wished for a better person to take over from me Mike 🙂 Thank you, not only for the past 5 years and keeping up the forum's very high standards, but for all the work you have put in here and elsewhere over the past 15 years 🙂 You have, and will continue to change the lives of people for the better, and that is a priceless thing 🙂

Thanks for always being there for the rest of us!
