Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
I have been reading about people successfully losing weight by eating normally for 5 days a week and starving for 2. I am eating normally and ignoring my diabetes most of the time - the blood sugar is 4 times the norm and I have to do something (I had a heart attack last year). I inject 40 ml of lantus solostar every evening.

Do you think this diet would be good if you have diabetes? More harmful that not losing weight? I have no will power.:(

If you have no willpower, I'd suggest you wouldn't be able to stick to such a regimented diet. It sounds to me like you're looking for a 'simple' answer and the sad fact is, there isn't one. You're going to have to put the work in.

If you want to enjoy long-lasting health, the trick is to make small, modifications over time. For instance, if you eat two sandwiches a day, cutting down to one is far easier than some sort of drastic diet change. Instead of making a grand decision to go to the gym every day, why not walk to work every other day instead? These little changes are easier to make because they don't dramatically discomfort your life, meaning you're more likely to stick with them. Then when you've got used to that, you can start making other modifications.
