A MAN who gave the ultimate gift of life by donating his organs has been honoured with a posthumous award.
Steve Bunce, of Yeovil, was just 43 when he suffered a stroke and died in September last year. But his loss was not in vain.
Last month his family accepted the Order of St John Award on his behalf at a private ceremony in Bridgwater.
The honour, run in conjunction with NHS Blood and Transplant, is presented to the families and loved ones of those who save and improve people’s lives through organ donation.
