More than ?3 million is being planned on new play areas and fitness trails across Walsall in an effort to persuade overweight people to exercise.
Leisure chiefs say they want to build on the success of the Olympics by securing funding for the improved play facilities at parks and open spaces in the borough.
They want to create 10 new children?s play areas, six youth and adult play sites over the next four years. They also want to create 48 new youth or adult facilities like gym trails.
