Type-1 diabetes is grabbling Australians badly as the recent figures show a total of 122,000 sufferers in the country.
Of the type-1 diabetics recorded in the country, 20,000 are children alone. As per the reports of Diabetes Australia, some 280 Australians develop the disease every day. Over 800,000 people in the country suffer from both type of diabetes.
The disease has emerged as the fastest growing disease in Australia, as of now. The Australian Health System spends around $1.6 Billion every year towards the disease and the amount yet excludes the complication costs linked with it.
A Coalition government has, therefore, announced funds of $35 Million to help finding the cure for the Type 1 diabetes
