30 years of diabetes shenanigans

At some point over the last week or so I have clocked through to 30 years of diabetes tomfoolery.

Slightly irritatingly I can’t quite remember when my diagnosis day was, but I know it was some point at the end of February, maybe 22nd, or one day around then. One day I might try to remember when I’m in clinic for them to check back to the very beginning of my file to find out!

I know that makes me a mere tadpole compared to some members of our lovely forum, but I’m quite proud to have made it this far with at least some of my marbles and most other things in reasonable working order.

Here’s to the next 30!

Come off it @Inka - you know as well as me the cure is always going to happen 'within the next 10 years' - wonder if we can sue the estates of all the now deceased consultants who told us that way back when? Cos some of them also said they'd put money on it. Where are the betting office slips then? Never showed us them, did they?

Sure, none of us want diabetes but I think of mine as the anniversary of my diagnosis and I am very happy I got that.
