Hi. I’m on week 2 of the NHS diabetes remission programme with Xyla/habitual shakes soups and porridges. After 4 days I lost 8 lbs but I am soooo hungry. I’ve had awful stomach pains and pains in ribs all round. Someone in my group said if ur struggling u can have non starchy veg so I’ve had cauli broccoli and Brussels which has helped. I have got a lot to lose and am 10 stone overweight. I’ve been eating badly for ages which prob doesn’t help

Maybe speak to your 'handler' about the diet? I am sure they never intended a weightloss of 2lb a day to result from their regime.

Sounds awful, I too would be ravenous - I didn’t know the nhs advocated such diet plans. Obviously I don’t know you’re medical and personal circumstances but I did lose 5 stones with weightwatchers some years ago eating proper food and was rarely hungry, so if its hell perhaps you could try something else. Good luck with your weightloss journey.

The initial weight loss on these sort of programs are often fluid so people can become dehydrated which can make them feel awful unless they drink a lot of fluid.

Thank u for ur replies. I am drinking loads. I’ve tried dieting loads of times but actually feel committed and determined with this. I emailed the Diet people and they said to eat non starchy veg and speak to gp tomorrow.

Heya, I've just started - on Day 2 - I'm feeling your pain! What did your diet person say? Do you know if there is an online support group for your group? I feel like there is for mine - but I don't know where to look - and I think everyone's off for the weekend..
I could really do with some people to share experiences with..
Hope you're doing ok! x
