21 year old type 1

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum but have been diabetic for nearly 8 years now. I'm currently at university and 3rd year is stressing me out a lot so I thought I'd give this a try to see if any one was in a similar situation as I don't know anyone with diabetes to talk about it with.

I always enjoyed maths but doing it at degree level would have been a step too far! 😱 Are you doing finals in May/June or is it a 4 year course?

Welcome to the forum Heather 🙂 We've been diagnosed about the same length of time, although my student days are a long way behind me! 🙂 If you are on Facebook, you might also be interested in joining 'Student Diabetics UK', which was set up by a couple of our members a while ago 🙂

It's just a 3 year course so I'll be graduating in the summer, hopefully!

Welcome to the forum. I did Interdisciplinary Science which included maths and quantum mechanics. Hopefully you were more prepared for it than I was. I just about crapped myself in my first quantum mechanics lecture

Hi. Welcome to the forum. People are incredibly helpful on here.

Considering how common diabetes is, it's amazing how difficult it is to come face to face with someone in the same boat.

Stress certainly sends my numbers into hyperdrive!
