Well Im 2 weeks in, metaformin twice daily (going up to 3 this week) and levels coming down nicely - from 20 to currently stable at between 9 & 12. Had a wobble last week when on a 6 mile fast walk and felt really dizzy and self tested and levels had dropped from 12 to 7 so a couple of glucose tablets later I was fine. I love my walking and a jog round the block a couple of times a week but doc said to hold off the jogging till levels are more stable - which is annoying as I just wanna get back to my Zumba and my jogs. However eyesight has been an issue. So blurry for over a week been to opticians and he said it's the drop in glucose levels. Said the high levels have been masking the true state of my eyes. So now have glasses and I can see again!! Keep remembering one step at a time. Have had a bad couple of days on the food as it's been half term and Halloween so I've had a handful of haribos and some cake these past few days. Its all about self control. But it's a lifestyle change.
