Yes! I never buy the orange Dextro!
Oops, i happened to pick some of these up as they were under the counter at my local Pharmacy. I'll pray i have a better experience should i ever need them.
Other than that i have a few stashes of jelly babies and lucozade (some youtubers recommended this).
Thanks for the tips all!

As you will read and hear again and again and again ... we are all different.
Here's hoping your tastebuds like fake orange.

If they were old YouTube videos they might have been from when lucozade contained more sugar. Check the pack to see how much you’d need to drink in a hypo, think last time I bought it it was half a multipack bottle I’d need to drink, not the few sips it was in the olden sugary days

Thats the good thing about dextrose/glucose tablets, they are unlikely to quietly change the fomular to be less sugary
I find the orange ones easier to snap in two should you just need a little boost, not sure what they put in the berry ones but they are very robust

As @helli says, we are all different. I find the orange Dextrose tablets perfectly acceptable flavour wise and work really well but the orange Lift tablets are gross to me. I do however like the Raspberry Lift, but jelly babies are cheaper, more readily available (I can buy them in my village shop) and work just as well.
Something worth knowing is that you absorb glucose though the cells in your mouth very quickly, so it is actually better to chew whatever solid hypo treatment you use really thoroughly before swallowing as it helps get the glucose into your blood stream quicker. I initially assumed a couple of chews and get it into my stomach as quick as possible but chewing it well is better.

I find anything at all is acceptable when I'm actually hypo. (There's more of a problem when I'm a bit above and want to eat something to avoid the hypo, of course.)

They’re ok but bottom of my favourite flavours list. They’re not unpleasant just a bit too orangey for me. Look out for the Blackcurrant ones as they’re nice. There are also some rare flavours like Blueberry that I’ve seen before.

Heed the warnings about Lucozade above. I could say some very rude words about Lucozade! So silly of them not to concentrate on their USP, which was a glucose drink not a luridly coloured swill of sweeteners. Normal sugar Coke in the 150ml cans is still fine, and there are also 150ml cans of Appletize, which are nice and sweet and effective.
