I know I'll feel like shite in about an hour... but... 2.5 is hilarious in my household...

I get the giggles. I want to dance. I find it hilarious and I don't know why... any ideas?

Glucotabs and hulahoops are being eaten.

Silly conversations are being had but by husband ensures I sort myself out.

Does anyone else have a tipping point that makes them find it funny?

For those sensible people... I know hypos are serious. I do respond immediately and deal with it. BUT it's really funny.

A bit like being tipsy perhaps? Wish my hypos made me laugh lol! I usually feel the opposite 🙄

Well - it's yer brain, innit? LOL Makes me want to bang my head on the wall when folk say - absolutely sure - that low BGs don't affect MY brain. Oh yes they damnwell do, mate!

I've never, ever felt like that when hypo - but have more than once when imbibing a touch too much alcofrol or - much more dramatically and only once - when smoking certain plant material. I had often thought after that time, that it was worth it - being 'naughty' - to have such a damn good laugh - and participated another twice I think - the first time just a horrible taste followed by a headache, and the second - well - I threw up so violently it hurt like hell and I ached for days after - so - although I've never actually had another opportunity, if I ever did I absolutely wouldn't try it again. Pity that (the latter effect) can't happen in every case, isn't it? It'd stop anyone with a ha'porth of sense left in their 'eads.

As Jenny says, it's the brain. Hypos affect the brain.

I know some people get aggressive when they hypo. I don't. I get really compliant. I don't want to cause a fuss. The lower I go, the less likely I am to ask for help. Which as you can imagine causes problems.

My brain won't work and I find it really hard to answer questions and to say what I need. I'll stand for a while trying to figure out what I need. Sometimes I get tearful and cry.

Sometimes if the hypo is slow to come on, I'll walk into a supermarket and choose 4 or 5 chocolate bars.
