Can I ask, how long have you been diabetic?
Just previously I said about the longer you've had it, you lose some awareness.

A lot depends on the speed you are falling at. I had a 3.4 with symptoms yesterday, when I was likely falling quite fast (2 hours after injecting, so lots of active insulin overriding the food peak), but I also had a 2.8 later with few symptoms because it was falling very slowly at the tail-end of my insulin.

As ever with diabetes, there are lots of different types of hypos - just to complicate things more! 😱

I have been blessed with this wonderfull condition for 8-9 years. Had another 2.4 hypo at 3.30 am (yes there is a 3.30 am, news to me as well) but the symptoms woke me and i def knew about that one.
I had been doing some quite intense exercise. The one thing i realised is i didn'd do a TBR, so silly me
So prob as Northerner, i most prob dropped very quick.

Thanks for the replys.

I got told after having 8 hypos in 72 hours that once you have 1 hypo you are more likely to have others (excuse me while I celebrate that fact)

Do you have a snack before bed? Just that might help if you've been hypo during the day

Yep, i had my small bottle of full fat coke, and two bourbon biscuits.

Diabetics can lose their hypo awareness, the longer you have had diabetes the more likely this will happen. Research suggests that if you can go a period of 4 weeks without a hypo the awareness will improve. As a diabetic you will not feel all your hypos anyway. Hope this helps.
