Just joined up, looking for others experiences and any tips. Daughter diagnosed last June and began on pump in the Sept. We have lots of ups and downs and periods of stability. Hated the pump at first but love it now, gives us much more flexibility. Been huge learning curve over the past near year and still discovering things about diabetes and the pump and what works for our daughter. She is extremely sensitive to any slight adjustment in basal rates and carb ratios when we have needed to change things and we wonder how this compares to others of a similar age.
We are currently trying to tackle mid morning high BG readings whilst avoiding hypos at lunchtime. Keeps us on our toes!

Hello Hanmillmum and welcome to the forum - there are quite a few Mum's on here who have children on pumps so hopefully they will be able to help you.

If you haven't already done so you might like to take a look at the Children with Diabetes web-site.
