Today is my first anniversary of having life with Mr Diabetes...yes, it is a Mr because like a lot of me, it's a pain in the butt!

I justed wanted to say a big thankyou to everyone on this forum that has helped me cope over this last year. I haven't posted much recently, and haven't been a good diabetic, but, I am now pulling up my socks, eating properly, exercising in the gym 3 times a week, swimming etc. I woke this morning with my lowest waking reading of 6.3...so I think things are starting to improve.

The lovely folks on this forum has made this last year much more bearable and made my initial diagnosis easier to bear.

So thankyou xxx

Now to have CAKE!!!! (only kidding!!!)

Doddy! Happy Diaversary! :D

Great to hear that you got your best waking reading on this day - and that you are back on it with a vengeance! 🙂 You've worked hard, and that can become a bit too much at times, so you are allowed to relax a little as long as it's not too much, but it's clear you recognise that, so well done on all you have learned and achieved over the past year - hopefully Year 2 will be much easier for you and you can look forward to a=some more great numbers 🙂

Happy diaversary!!!

Thankyou all 🙂
I have really taken stock of things now, have joined a gym and am seeing a real difference in my waking numbers. The whole point of me going to the gym is to lose weight and get fit...I have been offered a place at Uni to do my Midwifery degree, so from September I will be a Student Midwife and I need to have my BS under control and lose some weight so I can manage being more active. I did have a hypo at the gym today, so think I need to reduce my morning ratio a bit!!!
Here's to the next year 🙂
