Hey guys,

Haven't wrote in a while cause there hasn't been much to say.

Just taking this one day at a time and slowly getting there,

Ive had a fair few hypos over the past week and a bit but this is to be expected as my sugar levels have been so high for such a long time, most of the time its not even a proper hypo but as my body has adjusted to higher readings i feel hypo at a regular reading.

Will keep you guys posted quite regularly over the next 2 weeks or so as i have the DSN soon 🙂

Jodi,

x

Hi Jodi and it's good to hear from you. I was wandering how you were getting on. It's good to hear your levels are coming down and that you recognise that you might be getting false hypos due to your body needing to get used to better levels. Good luck with your DSN appointment and let us know how you get on. Take care, it's good to hear you sounding more positive! XXXXX

Hi Jodi, it's good to hear that you are making good progress - well done and keep up the good work, you will feel so much better for it in the long run! 🙂 Keep in touch, we're here to support you all the way! 🙂

Hi Jodie It's good to hear from you again. It can be very frustrating when you feel higher symptoms at higher levels. Good for you recognising that these will get better thanks to you improving your control. All the best for the DSN appointment.

Hey guys,

So here's an update.

I have been doing a minimum of 3 tests a day for the last 6/7 days 🙂 (not much but a major improvement)

And since i started the regular tests the highest reading i have had is 16.2.

I know this is still too high but since i never had it lower than this before i'd say it's going pretty good.

Most of my readings have been below 10 so i'd like to say i'm getting there.

Not going to get too cocky though as i don't want to jinx myself or end up thinkin it's ok to skip a test or two due to my new and improved readings!

As usual, will keep you all upto date.

Excellent news!! Dont put yourself down...each step is a huge acheivement as the battle to get control after a long time is a long battle.

If you can implement little changes that you can cope with and keep up is great and then add on another and another...soon you'll have great control, less hypos a the HBA1C you want...and will equal the go ahead for the family you mentioned you want...

Have you met with your DSN and have they given you any helpful advice?

Well done Jodz. That's brilliant going. It's amazing how well you can control things once you know what's happening. 🙂

As suze says, get used to what you're doing before steping up to more but see if you can spot the patterns and correct the highs as they occurr.
