At the time, like you, it was just a number and I had no idea how bad it was, so not overly upset about it. It is however quite satisfying to see how much lower it is getting now as I get better at managing things. I am due a blood test next week and then a telephone app with the consultant the week after that, so hoping I have made more progress. Diabetes is a marathon not a sprint but every little positive milestone helps with the motivation to keep doing your best.
Crossing my fingers for you and sending good vibes x

It would appear that there is a link to Ace inhibitors and a bad outcome. I am of course trying to lose weight. Thank you
This is directly from the NHS website, not taking them if there was a problem would be more dangerous

If you have coronavirus (COVID-19), or think you might have it, keep taking your blood pressure medicines as usual.

There is no clear evidence that taking angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors or angiotensin-2 receptor blockers (ARBs) will cause complications.

They were offered as an option. I declined. Notice they say clear evidence. Research says otherwise. Although I have the luxury of being borderline in regard to needing them. X

Why worry about that slight amount of chance when being diabetic also means you have a greater risk of all sorts of awful complications - however if you look after yourself properly then you have a better chance of fighting any ailment yet discovered - and we can all do something about that, so let's concentrate on things we CAN definitely do rather than dwell on off chances., shall we! :D

Yes sure, I’m not dwelling on anything but making informed choices. I’m of course on it now. I run a complex business with tons of different elements so I’m changing my schedule to get the exercise in before I get dragged into ten directions and distracted.

Anyone have any advice on how good or bad Hba1c 66 is?

There’s a bunch of handy info about HbA1c here
