Relationship to Diabetes
Hi. My mother was diagnosed about a year ago with type 2 diabetes. She only weighs 8 stone and eats very little anyway. Tonight she's gone to bed with a reading of 10.2- can anyone tell me what the safe levels are please, so I dont worry.

Thank you

Welcome to the forum, Pinecone33. 10.2 is a bit higher than ideal, assuming it's more than 2 hours since your mother last ate. However, so much depends on her treatment, diet, activity etc. There's less chance of going hypoglycaemic from a bedtime level of 10.2. What does your mother think about her levels?
