No time to head out so did a YouTube walking workout...

And I enjoyed it! I think it's from Fit with Rick or Fit Walking With Rick. Very simple cardio/aerobics with good music choices and on screen timers, step count and preview of the next step. Was reminiscent of being in a step class and I'll do them again I think!

    Gym

I just went to one for the first time in living memory! Nothing too ridiculous but 15 mins treadmill, 10 on the x-trainer and then some very low weight chest press and even lower weight shoulder press. And I’ve booked a space in a yoga class next Wednesday evening. :)

    MMA and Diabetes?

So I have had diabetes for around 4 and a half years now and one thing that has been hugely affected is my motivation and dedication to the gym, I used to love it where as these days my control isn't very good and i always feel completely knackered! My GP said forcing myself into exercise will...

    Fitbit challenge/rs

I've had a fitbit for 2.5 years now and I love daily and weekly challenges. Although I'm already in some groups that challenge frequently I thought it would be fun to compete with other diabetics from this forum in a friendly manner. Who fancies a challenge?

Does anyone exstensivly use the Freestyle Libre and Run, lift weights, swim or do Hiit? If so does the sensor stay on for two weeks? Does the needle dig into your muscles whilst lifting weights etc..... Any feedback would be most welcome.

    parkrun

Anyone else do Park Runs? They're 5k runs in a local park, at the weekends, totally free, and they'll time you and publish results later that day. I've just done my first and it was a great experience. I've been going to the gym for over 6 months and running on the treadmill and mostly can...

    Swimming for health.

Due to walking difficulties, especially in hot weather, which leaves me struggling, I have decided to take out a confectionary rate card for my local leisure centre, where you can use it for unlimited access for about £20 per month. A bargain. Hoping to get fit and lose some pounds and check...

    How unusual am I?

I asked this question as a sort of aside on a post about my dealings with the DVLA. I'm posting this question on the sporty forum because I think that it is the most likely place to find a positive answer. I discovered that I was diabetic in May 2013 at the age of 54 after being admitted to...
