I live in Staffordshire and the NHS is from this year taking the screening "in-house". Instead of an easy bus ride to my local optician I face a one and a half mile walk or two buses plus a walk. I am very tempted not to bother. Are other people facing similar issues?

Came out of the diabetic eye test. More informative than they've been before. Got to see the picture, although no close up and on an ordinary practice computer monitor. Person taking pictures said nothing obvious to them. Also said it would go for a technician to look at on a big screen. In case...

Just got results letter for my diabetic eye screening test. I'd have to check, however I thinks it's exactly the same as last year. "some background retinopathy".
