A few nice sunny days and my thoughts have turned to those enjojable Summery days (possibly because I am hoping for a few daytrips to the beach soon too!)
When I was diagnosed, a DSN told me that as an occasional treat ice cream on a Summer’s day was likely to be fairly BG friendly. I don’t remember any technical explanations about fat content, warmer weather/insulin sensitivity, or likelihood of increased activity offsetting the carbs while walking along the prom, but it has been my experience over the years that an ice cream on a day out can often be enjoyed without too much need for mental juggling, and any insulin dosing.
Do other people find the same? Does it work the same for T2s?
