Welcome to the forum.
There are lots of experienced knowledgeable T1's in here - though I'm a T2.

Welcome to the forum @jmccaffrey001 . Glad you have joined us.
I look forward to your input on here with such a vast experience.
You have no doubt seen some changes over the years.

I am a let starter to this so thought the pens were just normal, not realising what people had to do in the early days. With the changes in insulins, pumps, Libre, CGMs, ... so much has happened even in my short Diabetes life.

Welcome to the forum @jmccaffrey001

We have a few long-term T1s who are members here so make yourself at home. Glad you have found us!

Rofl - there are folk on here Jim (are you a Jim?) who have never ever boiled up a glass syringe! - and nearly welded it to the saucepan after it boiled dry and the lint wrapping it burnt away.

One of Saturday's jobs for me along with all the housework, shopping etc. Husband would walk in from work and to start with asked what I'd burnt, but after a few months he'd say - Flambeed syringe for tea again, dear?
