Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Afternoon all
Here trying to get to grips with type 2 diabetes and other health issues e.g. menopause. Recently had a full hysterectomy so feeling a bit worse for wear. Diabetes seems to be under control at the minute, been diagnosed about 7yrs now. Taking one day at a time.
Regards

Hello to both of you.

Hi to both of you.
I don't know how much you already know about Type 2 Diabetes, so here are my top tips:

Best Tip: Get a Blood Glucose Meter that uses cheap test strips and use them to find out which foods don't spike your Blood glucose. The ones most people use are the SD CodeFree or the Spirit TEE2.

Next Tip: Eat real foods.
Another tip: Most find that Carbohydrates are their enemy. Don't believe that you need carbs with every meal (or even at all). Fat is your friend with the possible exception og the highly processed high Omega 6 seed oils (commonly mis-labelled as 'vegetable Oil').

When you select the vegetables, do you chose low carb ones, not potato or root veges? No starch to thicken it, or sweetcorn, which is not a vegetable.
