You're well travelled HOBIE, lucky you🙂 The furthest I've driven is a 600 mile round trip and this was in the UK ~ and congrats for almost 52yrs of enduring Type1:D

I cannot wait to drive. We have just bought, a new for us (pre-owned) Audi TT! its lovely.

I always wanted to drive but after nearly killing my driving instructor by trying to drive across 4 lanes of busy traffic I had to give up that idea. Didn't realise I was on the spectrum (self diagnosed) I thought I was just thick. :D

I'm very jealous of you Hobie.

Ditto I was on the TV with Angele "Rippon How to stay Young". She asked me about my insulin pump & we talked for awhile. A proper star, in the lunch break she was giving a patient a Driving Lesson. Her father taut her & in the middle of filming she did that. A really nice Lady ! I don't think I would like not being able to drive. Passed test 3weeks after my 17th birthday 😉. I have given talks to Drs at Newcastle uni. 1 "8 major Bridges in Uk" & "3 of the Tallest". Not bad for a Short Ar--, :D Thks Ditto 😎

You would think 2600 mile on one trip I did in this country was not possible BUT ! Newcastle, J O G across the top to Outer Hebs, Ayer to the full loop of Ireland, Wales then Home 😉 (you would not like to do in a car)

I have an Audi Phoebe...they are fabulous cars...although mine is more practical than a TT...it has to be with the amount of driving I do...I love it...I was still lamenting the loss of my BMW when I bought this one...now I would say I prefer this one.

Haven't even got my provisional yet, was waiting for my eye test, now need to get my new glasses. No rush really.

There's a TT waiting 😉. I passed my test 3 weeks since my 17th birthday. Had my first car when I was 16 & drove off street at a disused airport. Mad on driving 😉 Good luck

Been driving since I was 21 that is early 47 years and I still love it as much as I did way back then.
Would be lost without my licence.

A real TT ! 😉 Phoebe. I would be like cat on HOT tin roof. Good luck😉
