I'm hoping to make it to this one.

For anyone who hasn't been to one before it's not a meeting just simply an informal social gathering of forum members. All are welcome. I've been to the two previous ones in Brum and thoroughly enjoyed both and would recommend it to anyone. The venue is a Wetherspoons in the centre of Birmingham and is a 5-10 minute walk from New Street Station.

This is great news Northie. I will try to get along to this one - meet other members - put faces to names - and to enjoy the day. Will let you know nearer the time x

Am really hoping to make this one - am moving house around that time, but really want to make it.

Trainline

I'll try to come along, but won't know until nearer the time.

I've never been to Birmingham, but I've passed that RAC building a time or too. Are you definitely going Jackie?

Where can I buy rail ticlets? :D:D:D
Best to buy from a rail operating company to avoid charges. If you're near to a railway station with a ticket office, I recommend asking there. From personal experience, they can often suggest cheaper / better value tickets, and staff seem to enjoy a challenge. I think the assistant was disappointed when I only wanted to buy a return to Wakefield recently, instead of finding me a cheaper return to Glasgow or Langwathby (instead of Penrith) using Settle to Carlisle line or advance purchase return to Fort William, for example.

Hope to get along to this one. I have the theatre in the afternoon but should be able to pop along for a little while beforehand.

anyone else coming along

I'd like to come along. It would be lovely to meet people properly🙂 Do partners come too? Sister in law lives in the area, so could visit her as well....or drop husband off! Just need to sort out calendar.

Enjoy yourselves guys.... Wish I was able to go but 5,000 miles is a little long way for an afternoon!

However, it would be tempting to extend the stay a little.... http://www.adilbalti.co.uk/

Have a great time
