If you would like to send a message of condolence to Alison's family, please send a Private Message to @Hannah DUK (click on her name and then 'Start a Conversation') and she will add them to a card being sent by Diabetes UK. If you have problems sending a PM, please let me know.

Thanks

Thanks, Alan.

I didn't really know here as I've not been here five minutes, but I was so shocked to read that she had passed. :( Should I say something?

No idea what to say, other than 'condolences'. Certainly nothing any .... well good isn't right. Appropriate?

Ralph - it's like any other condolence - you KNOW when you need to. If you don't feel you need to, then best not to, IMHO. It isn't a time for platitudes; but there again I don't suppose everyone agrees with me.

I have sent a message to Hannah

I could imagine Hannah would need heaps of cards to incorporate all our individual messages so I'm happy to be included in the group message of sympathy, thanks and respect from DUK.

I should think it will have to be a suitable card of medium size with about a ream of paper containing all the messages, in the post in a substantial envelope.
