This sounds REALLY good. No consumables mean this would be a massive candidate for NHS funding and in some ways looks like it'll have an advantage over the Libre - cost, no need to have something stuck to you the whole time. I'm guessing you could effectively use it as a CGMS during the daytime (just keep testing and graphing) too. Only downside is that I guess you wouldn't get overnight results without waking up. Very interesting...
 
It does. I'd be very interested if/when it comes on the market.
 
Very interesting. High frequency radio waves passing through the body to measure blood glucose - it sounds like something Bones on Star Trek would have been using. :D If it all works then as Deus says the downside is you won't get overnight results but will be able to test as many times as you like. I bet the strip producers are panicking.
 
Could be worth the cost though.

Even if it was £300+ I reckon it would pay for itself in a year (at least two) for T1s with all the strips they go through. Even for us T2s who probably test less often, as long as it was reliable, it would be a worthwhile investment.
 
You know I am a fan of the libre, but this looks better. Fingers "X" it works 😎

At around a box a week, my strips cost the NHS £750+ a year 😱 (50x£15). Not to mention all those lancets I use! 😉
