Hi, I've had another enquiry from C4's The Food Hospital (you may remember we had one recently looking for participants willing to try the Newcastle Diet). This time they are looking for:

women with type 2 diabetes who may be interested in seeing whether changing their diet has any affect on their condition - there is a lot of research out there to suggest that diet can have a really positive and beneficial outcome on diabetes so we're hoping this group test could help a lot of people.

Our team of medical experts, including a GP, a specialist medical Consultant and a leading Dietitian are specifically looking for a group of overweight women with type II diabetes, who are also thinking about starting a family in the near future to take part in this exciting, scientific experiment that could really help with your condition and overall health. We?re also keen to speak to anyone else with the condition that is curious about the links between diet and diabetes.

If you think you fit the bill and would like to become involved, please contact me for further details (PM, email or use the 'Contact' link at the top of the forum 🙂)

I think they have a specific study they want to do, involving those wanting to start a family, but they do also say that they are interested in T2 women generally, so I can send the contact details if you wish 🙂

Ellowyne, I know you have expressed an interest in the Newcastle Diet - this is a thread for a different researcher on the same programme, if you would like contact details let me know 🙂
