I think that's what it might be Steff - worth seeing the doc as I think they can be removed if that's what it proves to be.

if it is that then they can be removed as I one on my right wrist and was easily removed

Hi steff I would probably go the dr, he might just say it's better to leave it if it's not hurting or he may refer you as an outpatient. Sorry but I cant really help much with the poorly thumb:( I hope you get it sorted out soon Sheenax

If he says it's a ganglion (though I never saw on on a digit, only on wrists and the big pas between base of thumb and wrist) - and he won'r treat it, I can let you know the 'old way' of getting rid!

Let's see what he says first though!

(Bet cherrypie knows what I mean, 😉 )

I hope it gets sorted, I'd see the doc, or go to A&E...

If it is a ganglion then it used to be called a Bible cyst. The reason was that people used to bash them with a heavy book, usually a Bible, to try and flatten them.:D

I'm not suggesting that you do this Steff as you do not know for sure what it is and it is not a cure as it only gives temporary relief and reappears again after a few weeks,

Thanks caroline

It's ok I've been told all about it by my mil who had one on her wrist so it don't scare me but I won't do it still lol,x

I hope that you get your thumb sorted out painlessly
