Hi all...

Having been guilty of taking in cake to work recently (In my defence it was a rare celebration! 😱) I was feeling bad that I wasn't imaginative enough to think of something that everyone could eat AND enjoy...so I thought I'd pick your brains! So for the next time I feel inclined to take in a treat for work...any ideas?! Needs to be minimally messy ideally...

Many thanks! x

How about some fuit? Apples and bananas are not too messy. When little feller has a birthday at school they are asked to take in those portion packs of raisins to share instead of sweets. Whenever I have brought stuff in I have brought chocolates or cakes and fruit so everyone has a choice.

I'd go for fruit too. My DH's work regularly has celebrations and everyone takes in cake so he decided to take in fruit recently and everyone thought it was a great idea and really enjoyed it.

Any chance of no snacks at all.........?.......:D

One place I worked in one of the colleagues was a greedy person, so I got a couple of boxes of 'diabetic' chocolate and warned people of the laxative effect. The greedy person notice most people had one or two and decided to hog a whole box. Point made and greedy guts wasn't so greedy after that...

Hi Twitchy, fruit is a good choice or maybe some lovely raw veg with a dip, or some homemade biscuits or cakes ( then you know what the ingredients are) or Nuts and Raisins ?

At my place of work, the boss does buy dougnuts and other cakes for the staff, recently the local conveinence store, next door, was selling 12 Cadbury easter cakes for ?1.99 instead of ?3.99, and a box was bought, they were in the dispensary (naughty) at first and the girls were enjoying them, but I didn't have any, IT'S NOT FAIR🙄 they looked and smelt lovely.
