I have my annual retinal screening tomorrow morning, a bit nervous as it showed background retinopathy for the first time last year.
 
I hope it goes well and it may be that the BR has resolved itself - that has happened to me in the past. Although it is worrying to learn that you have it, things have to deteriorate quite a bit further before any intervention is needed, and many people have BR for years without needing treatment. 🙂

Don't forget your sunglasses, whatever the weather! 🙂

Good luck for tomorrow 🙂 I hope it goes well and the news is good. Background retinopathy is quite common, so try not to worry too much. Please let us know how you get on. Sheena

Hubby had background retinopathy on his first screening 2 years ago & on next 1 it was normal.

Hope yours turns out the same.

I've had it (BR) since before retinal photography, getting on for 20 years now!
 
All went ok, they said the photographs all looked fine, there was one area which could be background retinopathy or just a blood vessel - need to wait for them to send letter out for sure - but even if it was background retinopathy it is very tiny and nothing to worry about. 🙂
