i was thinking turquiose would be a good colour cos of the hummingbird ...looks a positive move ...

I like it! I suppose the blue colour makes a lot of sense as diabetes related things are blue. Ooo change is exciting :D Except if its actual diabetes related...thats not so fun "]

Any way of finding out how much it all cost - which could perhaps have been spent more positively elsewhere by Diabetes UK e.g. research (which I know they fund a lot of anyway) but I do know that the change of logo of certain Councils has been out of all proportion to the benefit to that Council's profile.

I'm not against change per se just wonder if it is really worthwhile in this instance.

😱I know of a couple of people who have the bird tattoed!!!!

There was nothing wrong with the old logo and it looked a lot better than this new one, the whole thing doesn't work with this care connect campaign and awful choice of colour:(

The logo changes these days are often abstract, thus its fashionable to not be able to understand it. (Only me then😱).

DUK,s new one is rather old fashioned but to me thats what I like. Its to the point and direct. Great.🙂

Must admit, it doesn't do it for me. It seems too clumsy.

But if it works for the wider world, then it's a good thing.🙂

It's not an award winner that's for sure, but I like the move toward the more 'international' blue colour (as boring as that is). The strapline is simple and effective and I like the reference to individuals with the figure (i) - more of a human focus than the old bird any rate.

It could have been a lot worse!

Oh believe me we've questioned the cost. The amount they spend on expenses even is ridiculous grrrrr

I agree and for some reason the capitals annoys me as well :(

Well the jury's out on this one I think - BUT there will be a Brand Relaunch (or there should be) which always means free publicity.

I'm very much in favour of free publicity, meself .......

Couldn't agree more

Well I loathe pink - its revolting.

But that's just a matter of choice. All colours signify certain things don't they? - Blue is for things you want to be taken more seriously; dark green is restful; kitchens should be painted in shades of apricot to terracotta as the food looks tastier; dining rooms should be dark red as it aids digestion; office walls s/be painted pale grey because grey encourages intellectual activity .......

....... sorry but to me, pink = Barbara Cartland/little girls who want to be fairies - fair enough when they are 3 but not when they are 30 ........ Yee Ukk. 😱

Claret and blue are both good colours .......

YUCK!!!

why was there a need for change????? remind me 🙄

I must be getting old..... just seems that everything is changing.... and usually not for the better (well it appears that way to me)

sorry for moaning.... but makes me feel better LOL:D
