Hi. I've been a diagnosed Type 2 for 16 years. I developed it just after my 40th birthday. Type 1s run on my Dad's side of the family and type 2 on my Mum's although neither of them had it.
My diabetes journey has been eventful. Despite trying everything known to man it has got progressively worse to the point that I've got early signs of retinopathy.
My mmol was averaging 17. My consultant put me on mounjaro 6 weeks ago. After a few days my mmol was about 5. I was over the moon.
Last week at about 3pm I suddenly felt ill. I did a test and I was at 2.9. I had some of my DiLs full fat coke and felt better about 30mins later. My reading was then 3.8.
The next morning I did my usual reading and it was 3.1.
This has been the pattern ever since. How do I deal with this?
I'm looking for advice on how to stop this happening.
I'm making an appointment with my diabetes nurse later but....well who knows when I will see her.
