Medtronic 780G HCL during pregnancy

Has anyone successfully used the Medtronic 780G hybrid closed loop in pregnancy?
I've been moved to the Ypsomed and it's been an absolute nightmare so far. Every time I eat my blood sugar is shooting up to 15+ for hours and it doesn't seem to correct, rather it's 'learning' for next time. Fair enough it takes time for a HCL to learn how my body handles glucose, but perhaps a reason not to change an already pregnant person onto a different looping system! It's been 5 days now and I'm fed up of it. So hoping to get my Medtronic back out and go back on it. (My nurse also suggested this as an option, odd after insisting I move to ypsomed!)

Has anyone had luck with the Medtronic system during pregnancy? I was on Medtronic last time but not closed loop, and was absolutely fine. Recommendations have changed in the 7 years since and now suddenly I'm "at risk" if I use the Medtronic and have a target glucose of 5.5 (the minimum you can set on this system) - despite setting a target of 5 on the Ypsomed.

My time in range has dropped from 88% to 61% and I'm having scary prolonged highs.
Comments gratefully received!

Hope it works out for you @Lauren

I think camAPS is the only one recommended for pregnancy, because the target can be set lower, but clearly something isn’t right if you had such a big drop in TIR.

Do keep your clinic in the loop with how you get on. Good that your DSN was supportive of you switching back.

The lowest the omnipod5 can go is 6.1. And that's in levels 6.1, 6.7, 7.2, 7.8, 8.3.

Hopefully the change back has helped Lauren. Maybe your requirements have changed, is it a certain pattern?

During my pregnancy it was all change every few days, which is why it is great pregnant T1's now get pumps. Once i learnt the new pattern it would change again. Keep reaching out to your DSN for support.

Going back on the Medtronic was definitely the best thing for me. My TIR has increased back up. 95% currently.
My bolus ratio was off but this made little difference on the Ypsomed. But back on the Medtronic, making these changes has increased my control. So far, so good after a bit of a bumpy start!

During my last pregnancy I felt very blessed as I found my insulin resistance didn't get too bad and I only needed to make a couple of tweaks right near the end. But I am much older and a little heavier now, so I expect it will be a different story this time around!
