Hi Donald,

Congratulations! That sounds pretty good to me! You've only been diagnosed a few months and on diet and exercise to control it, I understand, so it's a very good result. Did they do one when you were diagnosed? Must be the porridge that's doing the trick! 🙂

Well done Donald that's a great result. Keep up the good work.

Hi I' am happy about it yes northerner I was Diagnosed at he start of Dec and put on one metformin a day in February outher wise still on Diet and exercise. They did one when I was frist Diagnosed cannot remember what it was so the Porridage must be working.

Donald

Sounds like you have done really well so congratulations. Are you testing your blood sugars?

Just had my Hba1c results through as well. 6.5 which is the lowest ever. However have been testing up to 10 times a day. Think this is to often but being a bit of a worry wort at the moment and panicking when bloods too high.
Does anyone else go through periods of severe worrying and constant testing.

well done kezza thats great news about Hba1c test, I cant say i do at the moment not been diabetic long im just doing it 2 times a day at the mo but last two days done it 4 times as not been well

Only way been able to achieve such good results is to reduce amount of carbs. But hey. Like being diabetic, just becomes a way of life.

well done to both of you, I should get my a1c back tomorrow, feeling a little nervous about it! I'm hopeful I'll be down from last time but I don't reckon I'll quite be where I want to be.

Hope all goes ok aymes. Even though I check so often I worry about the results. Feel like it's like drawing bingo numbers sometimes. Could come out as anything.

Well done Kezza!

Good luck for tomorrow Aymes - let us know how you get on! Bev

how much weight are you loosing? you really need to insist to see your gp. I was diagnosed type 2 at first, then ended up in hospital couple of weeks later, lost a lot of weight in those couple of weeks........i think you could be type 1 maybe?

Thanks Bev

Just found out couple of friends children both aged 9 just been diagnosed and recommended this site because of your threads. Really lifts my spirits when feeling down knowing that people take the time to reply.

Kerry.
