I just had an email saying my libre account will be deleted for not logging in. Tried to log in but they don't recognise username/password yet whwn i logged in through email it.
Scared now its a scam & I've put my details in using phone or its legit & i can't use my libre.
Any help please.

There's the usual "Forgot password" option, so try that. Most likely you give it the email address you used and it'll email you something that'll let you reset the password.

I've managed to login thanks. Concerned why they want to delete my account when I'm using my libre sensor daily.

That is odd, yes. Are you uploading data regularly?

I could imagine why they might want to delete accounts that aren't being used at all, but so long as you're either viewing it or uploading data I'd have thought that ought to be enough. (So if (like me) you're using the phone app which uploads data as you scan, that ought to be enough.)

They must be having a tidy up, I got that message today too. Although in our case it’s correct, we switched to Dexcom a year ago so haven’t used Libreview since then, and I think it’s highly unlikely that we’ll switch back so I’ll let them delete the account.

I spoke to Abbotts as i had another email & she didn't see that my account was being deleted.
Wondering now if it was a scam. It seemed legit & it looked identical to other emails i recieved from libre.
I'm anxious now (and it doesn't take much to make me anxioud lately) because i logged in through email. I only put in email address & password. No other info but worried if it is a scam they could access my phone & private info /back account. Or am i overreacting?

Hello how easy to use the Libra as I have mobility issues also how do you count carbs ,.is there an an app on your phone that links with.it?
Using accu check Aviva expert at the moment which has been great but it is now discontinued

@Sugarcoated Are you using a Libre reader or your phone to read your sensor? If you are using the reader, you need to download the info every 3 months to Libreview by connecting it to a computer. If you don't do this then the data won't be saved and it will look like your account is inactive.

@firefly60 Libre is very easy to use. Getting it prescribed can be more difficult. Basically, it is a small disc which is applied to your upper arm and lasts for 14days. You then scan the sensor with an appropriate mobile phone or a specific Libre reader to get a reading of your levels. The reading is slightly different to your BG meter reading because it measures interstitial fluid instead of blood and the glucose in that fluid lags behind the blood by about 15mins, so if your levels are stable, the BG meter reading and the sensor should be pretty similar but if levels are rising or falling quite rapidly, the reading can be quite different. The advantage of the Libre is that you can scan as many times a day as you like to obtain information about what your BG levels are doing and it gives a direction of travel arrow, so if your levels are falling fast it will show the reading along side a downward pointing vertical arrow. If levels are rising slightly, it will show a diagonal upward sloping arrow etc. If readings are stable, you get an horizontal arrow.
The system samples your levels every few minutes regardless of whether you scan so you can see exactly what your levels have been doing through the night or how high your levels spike after a meal before coming back down. From this data it also composes information about your "time in target/range" which can be much more helpful than HbA1c in measuring your diabetes management. The range is usually set between 3.9 and 10 rather than the narrower 4-7 premeal readings, so achieving good results can be easier and therefore make you feel more positive towards your management.
They like you to achieve 70% TIR with no more than 3% below. I am currently 94% TIR and I treat it a bit like a computer game in that I try to get a new personal best. It has very much changed how I feel about my diabetes management and improved my confidence enormously.
If you want to know any more info just ask. The new sensors Libre 2 have alarms to warn you when you are going high or low which can be helpful if you have poor awareness. The system is fantastic but it is not without problems and the Libre 2 seems to have more problems than the original which I am still using. There are times when you still need to finger prick so it doesn't totally do away with that but I can have several days when I don't need a finger prick at all and then I might have a day or 2 when I need to double check 2 or 3 times. The most important thing is that it has improved my diabetes management enormously and I feel more confident using the system.

I believe Abbott (the manufacturer) are currently doing a free 2 week trial if you have an appropriate phone and fit their criteria. Might be worth you visiting their website to see if you qualify.

I'd rate that as exceedingly unlikely. Libreview is (I'd have thought) a really tiny group of people to target. (Yes, there's some potential: people often use the same passwords for multiple sites (so don't do that).)

I would say, in general you need a lot less dexterity to scan a Libre with a reader (I know using a phone you need to be a bit more precise) than you do to take a BG meter reading from a finger prick and being able to scan through the night is so much quicker and easier, without even needing to put a light on, but I appreciate that it depends on the specific mobility issues.

I'm just using my phone. I tried connecting my tablet libre view but it won't do it.
Surely they can see I'm using my libre daily on my phone.

It may be that you have to initiate that request somehow and if you haven't been doing that then your Libreview account will not have the data and appear unused.

I phoned libre view & lady was no help. It was very hard to understand her as she was from out of the EU & talked so fast. She said i didn't have an account so she set one up for me. I logged in fine but can't connect it to tablet to download any info.
I asked if i don't have an account, how can they delete me & she said i have an account but then said, i didn't.
Honestly, I'm so stressed as in a few days it will be deleted & i don't know if i will be able to use my libre to scan my sugars. I'm logging in often in hope they can see I'm doing it but i can't see any data. It just says libre view, preferences etc.

You need to configure the app (entering your email and password so that the app can send the data) and your phone must have access to the internet somehow. (It's fine if you don't normally have data on your mobile, so long as your phone can connect via wifi sometimes to upload new data.)

I don't think there's any way to tell the app to upload its data. Either it does it routinely (because your phone is connected to the internet via 4G or whatever) or it does it when you connect via wifi.

Carbs - I think what you are getting at is the Expert records the carbs you tell it and then it calculates what insulin you need either for a correction or bolus. The Libre does not do that, so it is not a direct replacement for the Expert. However, the Libre reader can also be used as a blood test meter, with the right strips, and then you can record both the carbs and the amount of insulin - but as I have never used it or seen it used as a glucometer, I have no idea if it does the calculations for you or not.
