Hoping someone can help. I have ID diabetes and a three year licence (DVLA informed). I now have diabetic neuropathy and need to tell them about this bit I can't for the live of me work out how to advise of a new condition as CN 1/Diab 1 don't seem to allow for another condition to be added.

Does anyone know how I do this

Thanks !

Robert

Thanks - I've never seen this online reporting before. However my new condition (Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy) isn't listed and it won't let me report it online. I guess its the same question as before: do I report the neuropathy as a new condition on form CN 1. Thanks

Where do you have the neuropathy? If it's your legs/feet then either ring or email the DVLA for advice.

Thanks - its in my feet and I think I know what to do now.

It's the same form I filled in when diagnosed with MS. So did the diabetes one as well so all combined without having to faff around with separate renewals.

hi i phoned and spoke to them they took the details and said they would get back to me,

It isn't a new medical condition, it's a complication of one you've already told them about. Does it actually affect your driving?

If you develop neuropathy, you are legally obliged to tell the dvla. If it's in feet then they can either stop you driving or insist you have an adapted car. Obviously does depend on the seriousness of the neuropathy.
