That’s a joke of course, even if there was a cure unless I get a pancreas transplant nowt is gonna help me! Fortunately, things have moved on since that fateful day when I received a letter, yeah, a letter, to tell me I was now a Type 2 diabetic. Of course it wasn’t a shock, when you’ve had two thirds of your pancreas chopped out it was more of an inevitability, the fact it took almost three years was the shock! When I got my appointment with the DSN she gave me Metformin, told me to lose weight and eat pasta! Hmmm...good job I found this forum isn’t it? Ten years on and I’m now a fully fledged Type 3c, on a MDI regime and on the whole kicking D’s a**e! Here’s to the next 10 years. 😛
