Did my pre-lunch BG and was surprised and shocked to get a 5.8. First time I've seen a five since I started testing! Two hours after lunch and its a 7.0.

Excellent!

Feels good, doesn't it?

@pm133 Diagnosed at the start of September (First HbA1c in the mid 70's second one a week later in the mid 60s).I was put on 1 500 metformin modified release with my evening meal. Since diagnosis I've lost a stone and dropped a lot of carbs from my diet (no rice, pasta, bread etc). Hopefully going the right way!

Many congratulations! You are doing great! So pleased for you.

Well that's a great start. Losing a stone in a single month is pretty impressive.

I was 19st 7lb at the end of June. I got down to 17st 6lb last Tuesday and then did my back. Been resting for a week and now 17st 7lbs. Just been on the exercise bike for 15 minutes but gave up as my back was starting to pull.

Yeah, I have a problem with my back as well.
Just got to watch you don't try to overdo it.
I'm doing the opposite to you and trying to gain a stone since diagnosis as I had lost 5 stone.
A few more pounds to go but my back is causing me problems too.
