I prefer to go to bed with about 6 or 7 as my drop overnight is usually only 1 to 2 mmol/L so I should get a waking BG of around 5 with any luck. But everyone is different.

Maybe if you are getting a larger drop than this then possibly you need to dial the insulin back a bit? Might be worth speaking to your DSN for advice though as I see you are on basal only, so any changes will affect your whole day so you would need to see what effect a lower basal would have for your BG throughout the day.

I need to be upper 9s or I will get Hypo from 0400z on. As soon as I wake up
it wil be 6-7 but before Injection or Breakfast mine is on the up up up

I like my BG to be high 9s as well before going to bed. Any lower and my alarm goes off about 4am and you'll find me sitting up in bed eating jelly babies or drinking Lucozade. Just to get it to raise to 4 or 5.

Whatever I go to bed on is pretty much where I wake up on the next morning. So ideally I'd like to go to bed on around 5 or 6. Doesn't often happen though.

I often think this to myself & wonder what others do - so well done for asking the question
TBH for me ideally probably I’m most confident going to sleep with BS anywhere between 6 & 8

I’m still anxious of night time lows/ hypos, although It doesn’t make me as anxious as before
as I do have a pretty good hypo awareness
plus my libra which sets off alerts on the phone & my smartwatch, the watch I wear pretty much all the time now, I always check before I sleep and occasionally, when I look at my phone before sleep and see HS (as I’m about to nod off) and think why doesn’t that come in the mornings, but just reach into the top bedside drawer for Glucose Tablets or the Jelly Beans for a slight raise (as dontvwant the DF to send the 2/3am Hypo my way.
although the amount of nighttime Hypos I have experienced recently is in comparison minimal now, since I’ve made a further 2 unit reduction to my evening dose of my Insulin

thanks for your replys
spoke to nurse this morning about it and she said i need to get in touch with my GP so will do that but i think he will say i need to see/call the Elsie b center at N&N Hospital

had a senior nurse come to do insulin this morning and she said Elsie b were happy with my after breakfast levels and wanted to see a copy of my waking levels to see what they think of them She said they were happy with amount of insulin i was on which in happy with as well Far better than the days of 150 units and hi levels
