Hello guys,
I'm was diagnosed with T2 about 9 weeks ago and I'm doing all I can to help myself regarding healthy lifestyle etc, and I'm also loosing weight. I take regular BS tests but I'm feeling a bit unsure of what targets I should be aiming for. There seems to be varying differences in target numbers depending on what I'm reading and where, so I'm a bit confusedo_O

My readings are ranging between 6 - 8.5mmol at the moment. On the odd occasion I have had a reading of 5.6.
Do these sound good? or should I be aiming for below 6?

Hi Jillybean, those results are excellent! 🙂 There are ranges to aim for, and you fall nicely into them by the looks of things. As a guide anything between 4 and 7 before eating and no more than 8.5 a couple of hours after eating is excellent, so well done 🙂

You're doing brilliantly with those levels Jillybean...took me a full year to get into the high 5's so well done!

Ah thank you Northerner. That's put my mind at rest!

Well done Jillybean. Your nurse will be well pleased at your next review.
