Tesco Energy Tabs for Hypos?

Hi all, I've just seen Tesco sell energy tablets for dirt cheap, think it was something like 30 tablets for £1.30. I was looking for something I can leave in the car that won't be affected by heat in the summer and that won't waste money if I don't use them before expiring, has anyone else used these before? They've got caffeine in them, quite a lot though I suspect as it says to have no more than 6 tablets a day.
I'm newly diagnosed (about 2 months ago) and I'm still figuring out the best way to sort my life out I want to leave a separate testing kit in the car along with hypo treatments so I don't have to keep carting a massive bag round with me everytime I go out in the car.
Does anyone already use these tablets, or recommend why not to use them, or something else that'll fit the bill!

Just seen the glucose dose in these is dire! If anyone has any suggestions for safe to leave in the car though it would be much appreciated
 
I just buy Dextro tablets. I buy in bulk on Amazon then I can place packs everywhere I want. For the car, I usually have my bag anyway, which contains Dextro and carby snacks.

A 150ml can of Coke in the glove compartment is good too if you don’t mind it warm in hot weather.
 
If cans of coke get too warm they can go slightly explosive when opened… by that I mean go really fizzy when opened and end up going everywhere. At least in my experience

Like @Inka suggests, dextro tablets are not too expensive in bulk
 
Don't leave a meter in the car it will either malfunction because it's too hot or too cold.
 
Cheers all. Think I'll get the dextrose tablets to leave in the car, I like jelly babies, but they're a pain to carry about/store. Good point on the meter in the car. Think I'll get a couple to keep in different bags and leave at work/home. I've got the freestyle sensors, but I'm always paranoid that they'll stop working when I'm not at home.
 
Similar to Dextrose, I use Lift tablets.
I used to find Dextrose went hard once opened whereas Life come in plastic tubes which keep them longer.
Like @Inka i buy in bulk on eBay. I now buy large tubs which I decant into tubes.
However, I think it is a matter of taste. Some people prefer the Dextrose flavour. Others prefer Lift.

I'd definitely choose Lift over Dextro - once the Dextro packet is opened it's very difficult to keep the tabs clean (I used to carry them around in my jacket pocket when boating and fluff doesn't taste good!) and the tabs go hard very quickly. My current treatment of choice is Jelly Snakes, but I haven't been able to test them in a hot car as we've not had any summer yet!
 
I use lift, but have found jelly belly jelly beans to be both tasty, quick, and pretty much 1 carb each. Convenient
