It is 5 years to the day since I had my pancreas and various other bits removed🙂🙂🙂🙂 (one smiley face for each of my 'ectomies')
So it's my 5th diaversary and various other 'versaries too!
I'm delighted to say that I'm fit and well (and causing chaos!) and enjoying life. Diabetes is a small price to pay for being here, as I really, really shouldn't be here😱. To say the odds were stacked against me, is an understatement.
When I had my operation in Southampton, it was hot like now. I can remember roaming the corridors with my drip stands trying to find somewhere cool - an impossible task.
I want to say thank you again to all my mates on this forum - who have helped and supported me immeasurably. I wouldn't be in such a good position today without you all.😎
