hey all

So I’ve been to the drs today because I have what I think is a splinter in my foot on the front pad just beneath the toes... I can’t get it out but it’s a definite black mark and I’m 95% sure it’s a splinter.

Dr has said because it doesn’t hurt just to leave it?!?! I think that’s kinda stupid but wanted some others opinions before I pay to go and see a foot specialist privately

Thanks!

I think I would be more concerned that it doesn't hurt. I think a second opion sounds sensible to me.

I agree with grovesy, a visit to a podiatrist would be worthwhile. Just leaving it is reasonable advice for muggles, but not for us with diabetes.

Hope it turns out to be easily solved Grainger. Have you tried soaking in water?

Hey @grainger you are T1, don`t prat about, on the phone to your Podiatrist, get it sorted, please.

Foot all sorted, splinter gone, feet now all smooth and lovely... have full sensation in both feet too so no worries there.

Podiatrists are worth every penny.

Thats a relief. It is a worry when things go wrong with our feet.

Podiatrists are worth every penny.
They sure are
